'A 360 degree video experience of a single round at 9Round Shepard. This is our smallest 9Round gym in Calgary. Willow Park has a double set of rounds and so will Aspen Landing, Marda Loop and Cochrane when they open in early 2017. During a 9Round workout we focus on staying in the proper heart rate zones at each of the three buzzers during the round. You will notice that our trainers pay attention to these numbers and help our members hit the right targets. GREEN buzzer indicates the start of the round. During the first 2.5 minutes of the round the objective is to workout at a comfortable pace with our heart rate between 70% and 85% of our maximum (fat burning zone). YELLOW buzzer goes off indicating that there are only 30 seconds left in the round and this is the time to go ALL-OUT and escalate our heart rate over 90% of our maximum (anabolic hormone response effect). RED buzzer goes off indicating the end of the 3 minute round and time for active recovery. This is when we want you to start to recover our heart rate back down to that fat burning zone (70%-80% of max). As we move through the rounds we notice that our heart rate takes longer to recover but as we increase our cardiovascular health our recovery to lower heart rate zones happens faster. A recent study published in the journal Mechanisms of Aging and Development and a 2003 study published in the journal Sports Medicine found the phenomenal \"anti-aging\" power of short burst, high-intensity type exercises. These findings confirm that high intensity interval training Reduced age-related telomere shortening, and Increased production of human growth hormone (HGH).
