'The obliques twist is a superb core exercise using the resistance band. The obliques are muscles on the sides of the abdomen that stabilize the spine or some of you may know them as the love handles. This is a great exercise to work this area by focusing on rotation. Do the exercise as follows. 1. Wide stance with band under one foot. 2. Hold with the outside hand with the arms straight. 3. Go in a diagonal line over the opposite shoulder rotating the body. 4. Pause and return to the starting position. Again the great thing with the bands is that if this becomes too easy then move up to the next resistance band.
